Why this site exists

La Parguera is Puerto Rico's swim-in bio bay: of the island's three glowing lagoons, it is the only one where you are allowed in the water. The trips that take you there are sold under names that all promise the same magic, while the actual products differ in length, format and price: a one-hour small-group swim boat, a two-hour sunset cruise with a sandbar stop, a pedal-powered water bike you ride instead of swim, a nine-hour door-to-door day from San Juan, a daylight cays ride, and a four-hour private charter. Pick wrong and you either spend a bedtime-unfriendly evening on the wrong boat or arrive on a full-moon night wondering where the glow went.
